This summer was special. I went to summer camp for the very first time. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous and worried. It was my first time away from home. I can’t say that I didn’t miss my parents. But I had little time to think of home. All the activities kept me busy. After a couple of days, I felt so well, I felt part of the group. Camp was awesome. It was a terrific experience. It opened my eyes in so many ways. I learned so much from the staff and other campers.
I enjoyed very much its great atmosphere. I spent two marvelous weeks in Vancouver. I think that I had a blast mainly because of Bob, my counselor. He is the type of guy that always has a smile in his face. He made me laugh a lot. Bob really took good care of me. He took the time to know me and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was so patient and caring too. I was really impressed by the passion he had for camping. He definitely passed on me his enthusiasm. All the staff were very kind and joyful too.
Camp is a really nice place to make friends. I met people from around the world. I really enjoyed their company and I hope we can keep in touch. We had lots of fun. All the activities were awesome. I quite liked mountain biking. It was a great experience to ride a bike surrounded by beautiful forests. Overall I can say that summer camp was great. It was much better than I expected. Surely I will come back next year. Actually, I look forward to it already.
